Sara L. Gehrig
Sara L. Gehrig joined Nowlan & Mouat LLP in 2002, and became a partner in 2007. Sara attended St. Olaf College, graduating cum laude in 1990, and graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1993. After law school, Sara worked as a judicial law clerk in Fairbanks, Alaska, before accepting a civil litigation associate position at a law firm in Anchorage, Alaska. In 1996, Sara became an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Alaska, and she worked as a prosecutor in Alaska and Idaho from 1996 until joining Nowlan & Mouat, LLP in September, 2002. Since joining Nowlan & Mouat, LLP, Sara has concentrated her practice in all aspects of civil litigation, including work for municipalities, the Janesville School District, and for business and family law clients. In 2008, Sara argued and prevailed in a case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Rao v. WMA Securities, Inc., 301 Wis.2d 748, 731 2d 383 (2008), and was recognized as a “Top Young Attorney in Wisconsin,” in the Rising Star Division. Additionally, Sara currently serves as the Independent Hearing Officer for the Janesville School District.
